Bilikis is a direct, strengths-based therapist who is particularly well suited to people who feel overwhelmed by what is happening and need help seeing both the problem and the abilities they already have to respond to it. Her experience includes trauma-informed care, mood concerns, anger, substance use, ADHD and autism-related concerns, family transitions, and racial identity and race-based stress.

She provides counselling for children ages 10+, teens, adults and families. Rather than focusing only on what is going wrong, Bilikis helps people understand their situation from different perspectives, recognize existing strengths and determine what may help them move forward. Her style combines a welcoming, non-judgemental manner with a willingness to be direct when the work calls for it.

With teens, Bilikis has a particular interest in emotional regulation and mood concerns. She helps young people better understand their emotions and develop ways of responding that fit their circumstances and strengths.

In family counselling, Bilikis focuses on what is happening between family members rather than assigning blame. She helps families navigate changing roles, conflict and major life transitions through clearer expectations, respectful communication and healthier boundaries, while making room for each person’s perspective.

Bilikis draws from person-centred, strengths-based and empowerment-focused approaches. She regularly checks what is and is not helping and adjusts the counselling based on the person or family and what they are working toward.

Bilikis is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University
